Just heard that Pete, one of the most active Saxon forum members has died. This is very sad news. He was always at the front with the forum.
Sadly missed.

Tomorrow we say goodbye to Pete at his funeral.So it is the last day you can donate to his memorial page in aid of Help For Heroes.Please donate if you can it would be a fitting tribute to raise some money for a charity close to Pete's heart.Thanks.

sorry for your loss and i thank you for paying homeage to a real loyal fan on your site, i guess this is how a got a BOGUS mistake e mail last week staeting original saxon drummer pete gil passed away, glad that is not true but im sorry to lose a brother in saxon rip pete we will remember!!!!!!!!!!!! !!

Knew Pete from years ago when I worked with him. Saw him last year for the first time in a long while. Still the same lovely, bubbly, happy guy that I knew way back then. Such a sad,sad loss. Rest in peace Pete xxx

Pete was a great guy and I feel very priveleged to have met him. Wonderful to see such support from the band for their fans! this is why Saxon are still going and we, their fans, love them! I wouldn't have met Pete, or many other of my metal friends, if I hadn't been a member of the Saxon forum. long may the forum, and the spirit for which it stands, continue. Rock in Peace Pete xxxxxx
