Saxon appearing as part of the FULL METAL CRUISE!!

The first of three „On Land“ shows (Southampton, May 7th) features Saxon as the headliner and they will be performing the Denim & Leather album in it’s entirety!

DENIM & LEATHER was originally released in 1981 and instantly became a cornerstone of the NWOBHM.

Fans will be able to witness the Metal Legends up close in a club environment, supported by two local bands: Primitai and Dendera. Both bands have cited Saxon as their musical mentors by combining classic Metal with Thrash influences and modern Sounds.

Doors will open at 17.00 / 5pm local time and the first band begins at 17:30 / 5.30pm. Due to the limited capacity, pre-sale tickets will be available exclusively for Full Metal Cruise guests at www.tuicruises.com/meinereise. Pre-Sale ticket prices for Cruisers are 30€ plus a 4€ handling fee. Ticket sales for the general public will start at a later point in time, we will keep you updated when and what the prices will be!

The Full Metal Cruise is the biggest Metal Cruise in Europe. With more than 20 Bands onboard, FMC sets sail on May 5th, 2013 in Hamburg and heads for these harbors: Southampton, Le Havre (Paris) and Amsterdam, then returning to Hamburg on May 11th for the most spectacular harbor birthday party in the world, before ending the next day!

I hope they video record this in High Def. Concert video with Denim And Leather Live Blu-Ray would be awesome! Would be doubly awesome if done with original line-up!

I know we all have our favorite songs. |Many of mine are the older stuff, which is what they did on the Call To Arms tour. I lost track of them for a few years and rediscovered them with Unleash The Beast. Wish they would do a tour where they do 1 or 2 songs off every album from their great career. Loved Lionheart, Call To Arms, Forever Free, Unleash... Entire albums are excellent!

Love the 90's, 00's and 10's stuff and it seems a little heavier and speedier than most of the oldest stuff. Saw them in Detroit and Toronto in 2011 and was totally freaking out and banging my head with each selection they played!

Tried to see them twice before, but their work Visas in 04 and an Iowa total festival cancellation in 09 burned me for the chance to see them for the first time! Hope they come to Canada again on this tour or at least Detroit or Buffalo!

WOW, THIS IS ONLY A DREAM FOR AN AMERICAN FAN, IN 2011 I KNOW SAXON HAD TO SUPPORT CALL TO ARMS BUT A LOT OF US WHERE HOPING THAT SAXON WOULD HAVE DONE WHEELS OF STEEL AND STRONG ARM IN THERE ENTIRETY, I KNOW THEY DID ON THAT CRUISE OUT OF FLORIDA 2 YEARS AGO, DENIM AND LEATHER I BOUGHT IN AN IMPORT SECTION NEW WHEN IT CAME OUT SO THAT WAS MY FIRST SAXON RECORD, 32 YEARS ON IM STILL 100% WITH SAXON AND NEVER LEFT, BY THE WAY I HOPE THE SAXON FANCLUB OR DIGITAL STORE CAN GET SOME COPIES OF THE NEW SACRIFICE BOX SET, I CANT ORDER FROM THAT UDR SITE AND IVE NEVER MISSED A SAXON COLLECTABLE IN 32 YEARS...........

Since Denim and leather is the album I would choose if I was allowed to hear only one album for the entire rest of my life (I know, hypothetical question, but I always know how to answer this one) I would not go to an entire cruise just to go to this concert, but if there are tickets available for everybody I will go this concert, even if it means travelling to Southampton.
