Home News Hi Saxon Universe!

Hi Saxon Universe!

As we have heard unfortunately the Motörhead tour has been postponed until spring! We all hope Lemmy will come back stronger than ever!
Saxon will be on the tour together with Motörhead in Spring and we are waiting for the new dates which will be announced soon.

Due to the new situation we went back and forth but the logistical challenge we are confronted with have forced us to move the Saxon headline shows as well. We are in the middle of dealing with this and will let you all know ASAP! The only show which will be still on is the Metal Hammer Paradise festival in Germany (www.metal-hammer-paradise.de)!

We are very sorry for the difficult circumstances but we hope that everyone understands and we will rock even harder when we hit the road again with Motörhead!

Keep the faith!

SAXON

Ditto Daniel & Warrior Sue valid comments.
I've been watching both Motorhead & Saxon and have rarely missed a tour since 1981 (I know I'm a lightweight) however in all those years I don't recall many cancelled shows by either band. Cancelling a full tour is not done without good reason and in this instance a very valid one - get well soon Lemmy. I too travel to USA/CAN/Europe regularly for shows and have been burnt very occasionally by a cancelled show due to ill health - its a chance you take if you don't pay extra to enable the trips to be cancelled and refunded, get over it and do something else if you can't cancel the flight/hotel/transfer. Roll on 2014 and the rescheduled shows.

that's BULLSHIT Metty

Quoting Daniel:
Gianluca you stupid cunt!!!!

Gentlemen, gentlemen, ... please ... we are all fans and we are all not happy that we will miss our favorite band ... sniff... but this should not mislead us to use such a vocabulary. Our common interest in Saxon should be a common base for respect and understanding. And yes, I am frustrated too.

Greetings from Luxembourg ... a Saxon-less country

Shit happens and if bands like Motorhead or Saxon cancels a show or a tour it`s for good reasons.
I have booked flights trains hotel for my trip to London to see the two Motörhead gigs there (Saxon support one night)and i don`t get any refound for that but i don`t bitch about it.
Sad of course that i don`t get to shows but i worry more about Lemmys health in fact.
Don`t blame the band(s)as i`m sure the do everything they can to play for us fans.

I am really sorry to hear this and I understand your frustration, but honestly, this is not Saxon's fault. Saxon wanted to join Motörhead. And Motörhead had to cancel the shows. All we can do now is wish Lemmy all the best.

that's BULLSHIT Metty (nothing personal sorry) I picked the Luxembourg show where Motorhead were not included. I did it on purpose. And honestly I couldn't care less about Lemmy.

The gigs they were doing alone with no Motorhead were scheduled around the MH shows - it's too expensive for bands to just do a single show - do you know how much it must cost them just to move gear, plus pay crew and stuff? Sorry if you lost money, but if it's not good business for the band to play the shows alone then that's what they must do. And it's not the bands fault you booked non-refundable flights, rooms, etc.

I am very disappointed to say the least. I spent 190€ for the flights, 60€ for the hotel, 90€ for the transfer, not to mention the tickets. nothing is refundable. low cost you know. I thought my passion for Saxon was worth this money, but now I don't know: since I booked the trip I lost my job. if I had those 340€ in my pocket now, they would probably make a difference. THINK ABOUT IT BEFORE CHANGING LONG TIME PLANS!!! IT IS NOT FAIR!!! I will do the same when your next record is out. You're losing a 30-year fan I'm afraid.

This was a Motorhead tour, with Saxon supporting - so why don't you go to complain to Motorhead - Saxon is losing money too, as well as all the crew & people that work for them.

Sorry to hear this. I was impatiently waiting for next Sunday here in Luxembourg. The organiser just informed me via mail, that the concert in Luxembourg was cancelled. Hey, I hope we get some extra tracks played in spring. And if you really really want to compensate our frustration, what about another charity meet-and-greet before the concert? :-)
