St. George’s Day Sacrifice – Live in Manchester

St. George’s Day Sacrifice – Live in ManchesterA ‘Hidden Treasure’ recorded live at The Ritz in Manchester during Saxon’s ‘Sacrifice World Tour’.

British NWOHM Legends Saxon are traditionally performing each year a show on St. George’s Day which is April 23rd. Honoring a fine tradition the band is paying homage to England’s patron, Saint George who’s traditionally accepted day of his death is the 23rd of April.

This 2CD set finds a blistering performance covering a collection of Saxon’s finest work from 1979 up to 2013. A very special rendition of ‘Broken Heroes’ goes straight to the heart and is dedicated to The British Armed Forces. Saxon at their best! A real treasure rejoicing every fan.

Quoting Xavier:
It was a great gig in Luxemburg.

I can only underline this one. Excellent concert. Saxon is like a good bottle of wine, the older the better. I enjoyed meeting the band at the VIP session. Thank you for this event.

P.S, besides looking foward to this new 2 disc live set, I JUST HEARD THE MOTORHEAD COVER OF LADY STARSTRUCK FOR THE DIO COMPILATION WITH MOTORHEAD PLAYING AND BIFF DOING THE VOCALS, it will probably be the best track on that disc next to the scorpions doing temple of the king..................

As I've said before. It's easy. We have a deal: Saxon releases something and I'm going to buy it (happily)
