Hi everybody!

We are very busy these days with the new album and we have already a few ideas together. I am writing melodies and lyrics and arranging them into songs. We will give the rest of the band a break for hols. After that we have a full session in April before heading to the mighty sugar loaf and rock Sao Luis! We are really looking forward to coming back to celebrate an awesome party with our South American fans! Needless to say that the Rock In Den Ruinen Festival in Germany is also going to be great!

And don’t forget: Our new DVD will hit the stores in April! We are very proud of this product as it reflex Saxon at its best: Big productions, great performances and a fabulous audience!!! We will keep you updated where you can get the special limited fan edition!

When we've  finished our short live break we will enter the studio in the UK and will start recording the new album. Looking at a release date in the beginning of next year!

Meanwhile we would like to thank every single one for your great support and are so proud that our official Saxon Facebook site has cracked the 50.000 friends mark!!!

Saxon cancelling Metal Open Air!

Saxon is sad to announce that they have to cancel the performance at Metal Open Air in Sao Luis Brazil due to a serious breach of contract by the promoters. Having waited since march the 15^th for the fee to arrive as of Friday 2pm no money has arrived.

No explanation has been given and Saxon feel being treated with little respect. We left in the situation today and the band with their bags packed and ready to leave but it is impossible to travel all the way with at least some of the fee!

We are really sorry for all our fans there but we are sure that you all can understand that people have to working in a professional way and fulfil their contractual obligations! We are trying to come back to Brazil next year on our world tour and do a special show for the people in that area.

There are only a few weeks left until the new Saxon Live DVD "HEAVY METAL THUNDER - LIVE - EAGLES OVER WACKEN" will be released in Europe (20th of April in Europe / 23rd of April - UK / 22nd of May – USA & Canada).

A “Best Of” W:O:A live shows from the years 2004, 2007 and 2009 plus a whole bunch of specials will be included in this new release, which will be available in six different versions (for example, Digipack DVD & CD, Double CD, DVD, Bundles and a very special Limited Edition Direct To Consumer /D2C package). A MUST HAVE for every true fan! The D2C package will also contain the mysterious gold and silver tickets – detailed info about those will follow soon.

For everyone who can´t wait until the DVD release release date, we have something special:
From today on we will be posting podcasts with Biff, Doug, Nigel, Paul and Nibbs in regular intervals up until the release date. In these podcasts the band members will describe the features of the new DVD.
